4-star Two Bedroom Apartment

We look forward to welcoming you to this delightful first floor apartment which is attached to our 18th century former farmhouse in the middle of the village of Chinley. 

 

The south facing lounge has a log fire and a covered balcony with patio furniture and views of the nearby hills. This is a lovely spot for breakfast or dinner al fresco.

 

The kitchen-diner has beautiful oak units and a full range of appliances. To relax after your day's activities the bathroom has a full size bath with thermostatic shower over.

  

Both bedrooms have a pine bed, wardrobe and table, one with a king-size and the other a single bed. An additional guest bed is also provided.


Location in the High Peak

Surrounded by the Peak District National Park,  we are situated midway between the market towns of Buxton and Glossop and only 2m from the A6. 

 

We are ideally placed for exploring this beautiful area, being only 1m from Bugsworth canal basin and 3m from Kinder Scout.

 

The wild Goyt valley is 6m to the SW and the spectacular Roaches 15m to the south.

Edale is easily reached in a day's walk, from where one can return by train.

 

For those wishing to venture further afield, North Wales and the Lake district are only 2hrs drive away.

Convenience

We are 2 minutes walk from the rail station with fast trains to Manchester and Sheffield, and local trains to Edale and several other Peak villages.

 

We have a well stocked village store,  Indian Restaurant and Chippy over the road.

 

The village has a post office, news agent, pharmacy and hair dresser.

 

Several local pubs within 5-15 minutes walk.

 

The garden and barbecue may be used by arrangement. Secure storage and washing facilities for bicycles.
